Video Games

There is lots of things I like, TV, ice cream, rollercoaster’s, but I never got to mention the fact that I love video games as well; yes, I do love them, I’ve loved them for a long time actually.

My parents sometimes say I get addicted, my crazy, loving parents, the ones that bought me the games and the consoles in the first place. I am, as you know now, obsessed with video games; WII, PlayStation, PSP, DS, I just love playing on them. Whenever I get a free minute or two, I’m always playing with animated characters on the TV screen.

My sister, who is quite the opposite of me actually, does enjoy video games a lot too, but she just won’t show it. I know that my sister tries to act cool, but I know that she wants to play with me every single day.

My heart inside me still has a lonely, broken feeling, one that is screaming to come out, the scream of me wanting the new PlayStation Move™, but it’s just too expensive, so I’ll just have to wait…

Sports

Thrill me,
The energy that runs
Through my body doesn’t
Rankle me at all, it gives me
Serenity, time to think,
To be audacious every
Time I see a ball or bat.

But when I play, I need to
Be conscientious, watching
Every step I make, every ball I hit,
I must be prudent.

The action of the sports,
The movement, the speedy sounds
That fall into my ears, like a basketball
Going into a net excite me.

Even when I’m not around them,
The sounds I’ve heard depict the sport
Right into my mind.

Sports thrill me, but some people are quite
Lackadaisical, not caring, not wanting to run around,
But to shop all day.
I understand everyone is different,
So I’m not going to rebuke anyone to do something
They don’t want to do
Because that’s not what I do.

A Catcher in the RYE

3 schools,
Whooton School,
Elkton hills,
Pency prep,
Kicked out.
I change school,
Like when people change
Their identity name.

I’m pretty illiterate,
But I read,
I read a lot.
My favourite author:
My brother; D.B,
But I know others too:
Ring Lardner,
Isak Dinsen, &
Somerset Maugham.

my roommate
The boss; the chief,
is a disgrace,
never brushing teeth,
grubby gross fingernails
crumbling on the floor.
“Ackley Kid” is what I call him,
His face, red,
ruby red,
he was going to blow up
like a volcano.

Survive, I’ll survive,
Won’t give up,
He won’t use me,
He won’t give orders,
So I say to myself,
Good luck, and hold on.

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Silver Chair

The Sliver Chair by C.S. Lewis is a magical book full of mythical creatures, new journeys, and exploring the underworld of Earth.

This Incredible fantasy book is about courage and bravery. The two protagonists Jill and Eustace, are just two  normal kids at school, but when they start getting chased by the bullies at school, they run to a big green bush with a door; they decide to go through, and that’s where the adventure begins. They meet Aslan, a great Lion who can talk, who gives them a mission to accomplish. “Save Prince Rillian and defeat the white witch” (the antagonist). Throughout their journey, they meet different creatures. One of the other main characters is Puddlegum. They meet him on their way to the castle to save the prince, and then Puddlegum then joins them on their quest.

The Silver Chair is a book that I enjoyed very much. I feel all of the characters feelings inside me, and every chapter you are able to picture the scene. I see every characters side, they are all different, and that makes it even more catching. I enjoy reading fantasy novels, so I can see imagination that authors use, and so I could follow their footsteps and maybe create a wonderful fantasy of my own.

The two protagonists Jill and Eustace are two very smart children who go through some big adventures to help the kingdom. Apparently Eustace had already been to Narnia before, but Jill didn’t believe him; but when they both got into Narnia, she was wrong. Eustace is very brave, he has a lot of courage to do what is needed, and he’s a true friend to Jill. I think Eustace is very fierce, will do anything that Aslan will ask, and that is a very generous, affable person.  Jill is a smart girl who has a good memory, and I know this since she remembered four detailed tasks Aslan had told her to do. I think Jill is very responsible; she as well will do anything that needs to be done.

Problems struck near the end when the underworld is falling apart, and Eustace, Jill, Puddlegum and Prince Rillian must find a way out safely and find Prince Caspian. They go through a difficult situation including fire, storms and floods. It’s up to the four of them to make their way through the witches’ kingdom, and get to safety.

Overall, I think this is a very entertaining, adventurous book. This is actually the first book of the Chronicles of Narnia that I’ve read. I don’t think I’ve read any other books by C.S. Lewis, but after reading this book, I think I’m going to have to read some more. So if anyone is looking for a beautiful, adventurous, thrilling fantasy book, then I would recommend you read not just this one… but ALL of the Chronicles of Narnia Books.

My Sister

Is a devil in Prada,
My sister is the queen of fashion,
My sister is a glamour puss.

My sister rules her kingdom,
Bossy; strict,
My sister is the boss; the chief.

My sister is the lightning,
My sister is the thunder,
She’s the storm during mid-day.

She dreams when awake,
She dreams when asleep,
She’s the dreamer of life.

My sister is a songbird,
My sister is a loud bang,
My sister is fireworks,
And makes the bells go clang.

My sister is a monkey doing a dance,
She’s the joy in my heart,
She’s the unique unicorn,
And she’s the best sister on the earth.
