Boat Trip with Jaye

Yesterday I was did something I haven’t done in ages… go on a boat. I haven’t haunted a boat actually, not in a while anyways… I went with Jaye; well she invited me to go with her. I was really excited to see the monkeys at Gamboa, I’ve done it once, but only once, and that was like two years ago.

When we left the dock, there was a small bridge that was very low, and we had to go under it. Now for a minute I didn’t think we would get under, but I standed incorrect… we JUST made it! Jaye’s dad whirled up the motor, and we were speeding down the canal. When you’re standing still, you can’t feel anything, but when you’re speeding down a canal on a boat, the wind is pushing you to the other side of the planet! But I was enjoying every moment.

Me and Jaye were taking loads of pictures, and her family brought these chips and they were absolutely, completely delicious! I couldn’t stop eating them! We fed those to the monkeys, but when we arrived, they didn’t seem to want much because there was a boat that was there just before us, and they fed them bananas, so they ate all of that. One part of the trip was really fun because I got to drive the boat! But the wind impelled the boat to the left a lot, so I had to be really careful.

Jaye’s parents were really nice, they weren’t irascible at all, or amiss. The drive to the island sometimes felt interminable, but I don’t really know why… on the way, Jaye’s dad was explaining a lot of interesting facts about the canal, he was definitely the sage in the family, well… at least for the canal.

I had a brilliant time with Jaye, and I really hope I’ll be able to do it again!

My feelings for my Sister

She can smile, she can frown,
But everyday it’s usually a hard grimace.
I see her every day, and there’s always
Usually something different about her.

I feel different emotions when I’m with her,
Sadness, anger, happiness,
It’s never one.
Sweet smiles appear on her face every once in a while,
But ¾ of the time, it’s a angry look, one that makes you
Want to run away from the shadows.
Her tone when she speaks fiercely,
Is like the sound of thunder right by your ear.

Love in her heart is hard to find,
I try to discover her feelings for me.
She never tells me how she feels,
No saying “I love you” or
“You’re the best sister in the world”
Nothing…

But I know deep down in her
Where her heart is speaking, she does love me,
I want more time with her,
Playing, laughing, dancing,
Because I love her.
She’s the best sister in the world.

A bad start to a Thursday morning

Have you ever got the dates mixed up? Or you thought something was scheduled when it actually wasn’t? Well, I have… it was today actually, this morning; see I thought today was free clothes day (you can call me crazy now), so I wore free clothes to school, and then I saw all my friends in their school uniform.

“Um… mom… I think I’ve got the date wrong, no one is in free clothes!” I said to my mom looking out the car window.

“Oh dear, why don’t you go and check in the office then come back and let me know, I’ll park over there,” my mom pointed to the car park opposite the building.

“OK.” I grabbed my stuff and ran indoors to the office.

“Um… Ms. Scott… when is free clothes day?” I asked panting.

“When they announce it,” she said.

“Oh, I got the dates mixed up, I wore free clothes. I’m going to have to go home and change, because I don’t have them with me.” I said.

“Ok, I’ll give you a pass when you come back.”

I ran back outside and my mom took me home.

When we got home, I ran straight upstairs, and got change. I really was stupid to get the days mixed up, and now my mom has to keep driving me back and forth. I ran back downstairs and my grandma was ready to take me.

“Ok, here we go again…”

When I got to school, I walked into the office and Ms. Scott and Mrs. Culberson were apparently talking about me (oh dear); but anyways, she gave me a pass and she “excused” me (so happy) and then I went to Spanish class… on the very top floor…

The feeling of a great friendship

Don’t you think that friendship is a great thing? But how do people get friends? Well, people that have an affable manner can get a lot of friends. But I think that if you entreat people like saying “Make me your friend!” I don’t think you’ll have a chance, you can’t impel them to be your friend, you have to earn their friendship. You have to accept people, treat them well, look out for them, and be a true friend. Best friends that do everything together can have an interminable friendship, and that will never change; they can haunt each other, so they spend a lot more time together.

If you have a friend that’s irascible, well… are you sure this is your friend? Do you want a friend that’s going to boss you around all the time? Well, I don’t! And you wouldn’t want a friend who is…well… how can put this… abhorrent? And also, if you want help with some homework, you could have a sage in your “clan” to help you. Another thing… lying to your friends is amiss, you shouldn’t do it; they trust you to be honest to them, so you should.

So friendship is a brilliant thing, the feeling of a great friendship is like eating a delicious chocolate cake and the sweet chocolate helps you every day; And I know that friendship is a great thing, because I have brilliant, amazing, thoughtful friends in the UK and right here in Panama.
