Have you ever got the dates mixed up? Or you thought something was scheduled when it actually wasn’t? Well, I have… it was today actually, this morning; see I thought today was free clothes day (you can call me crazy now), so I wore free clothes to school, and then I saw all my friends in their school uniform.
“Um… mom… I think I’ve got the date wrong, no one is in free clothes!” I said to my mom looking out the car window.
“Oh dear, why don’t you go and check in the office then come back and let me know, I’ll park over there,” my mom pointed to the car park opposite the building.
“OK.” I grabbed my stuff and ran indoors to the office.
“Um… Ms. Scott… when is free clothes day?” I asked panting.
“When they announce it,” she said.
“Oh, I got the dates mixed up, I wore free clothes. I’m going to have to go home and change, because I don’t have them with me.” I said.
“Ok, I’ll give you a pass when you come back.”
I ran back outside and my mom took me home.
When we got home, I ran straight upstairs, and got change. I really was stupid to get the days mixed up, and now my mom has to keep driving me back and forth. I ran back downstairs and my grandma was ready to take me.
“Ok, here we go again…”
When I got to school, I walked into the office and Ms. Scott and Mrs. Culberson were apparently talking about me (oh dear); but anyways, she gave me a pass and she “excused” me (so happy) and then I went to Spanish class… on the very top floor…
